In her first communication with the Institute, the mother stated, "Our 8-year-old daughter, adopted from Romania, is severely psychologically and physically handicapped. She had suffered horrendous abuse, was tied in a cot and starved, and could not sit up, walk, talk or hold anything when we brought her home. She is full of anxiety, terrified of being left again. Nights are a living nightmare. She screams for hours and is too agitated to sleep. I'm sure if we can relax her she will calm down and sleep. She is extremely strong willed and we expect her to fight any help in relaxing. We have to resort to drugs to basically knock her out, even though we strongly object to this, but she even stays awake through drugs that are supposed to make her sleep. I mentioned Hemi-Sync to our Doctor and he said "Try anything except murder!" Can you suggest anything to relax her?"
The mother contacted us again four days after receiving her first Hemi-Sync tapes. "I just had to tell you--it's 12:30 am and my daughter is ASLEEP and has been asleep since 8:10 pm. This is a record! When we play Sleeping Through the Rain for her (remember, she is nonverbal) she was making noises and going up and down to the sounds, the first time we have heard her try to sing and get the sounds nearly right. After seven minutes she was out."

After my child spent a period of weeks listening to Metamusic tapes while falling asleep, her preschool teacher said to me, "I am amazed at her attention span, her ability to listen to and follow directions, her desire to do what pleases, and the effort she is willing to expend to master activities that are hard or challenging for her."

Super Sleep, played continually throughout the night with an auto-reverse player, was highly successful in modifying a 3-year old's disturbed sleeping behavior and helping him sleep through the night. I give piano lessons to a seven year old girl and was training her to play scales with a metronome. For several weeks she was able to play at 126 beats per minute (bpm). This week I played the Concentration tape through speakers during the lesson. We started the metronome at 126 bpm and speeded it up gradually. She was able to play at 160 bpm. Hey, that's great!

My ten year old grandson had been tested with an IQ of 70. That's borderline retarded. Since working with the Concentration tape, which he loves to listen to, he's getting straight As. Isn't that miraculous? He said to me, "Grandma, if I could take my magic tape to school, all my friends could get As, too."

Our nine-year-old developed bronchitis and a touch of pneumonia. She was so uncomfortable and restless that she couldn't sleep. As I played Energy Walk for her, she went from being restless and frustrated to lying perfectly still, eyes closed, smiling, relaxed. "This is wonderful, mom. It's so beautiful. I feel so good," Then she drifted off into sleep.

A psychologist reports excellent results from using Super Sleep for children with learning disabilities and/or attention deficits. With Super Sleep playing all night, parents and teachers observe better concentration and less irritability during the day.
